FOCUSED ON SUCCES:
Focus is essential for any athlete. In fact, for professional skiers the word focus is like the word breakfast. It's the mode they have to get into each day if they want to rule the mountain. Focusing is what Jon Olsson does when he is working on a new signature trick. It is what Bode Miller, Didier Cuche and Maria Riesch do at 130 km/h blasting through a gate. Our focus is to make the world's best, most innovative products and to keep skiing fun by investing into COOL EARTH.

THE RACING STABLE:
Fully focused and yet the mind seems empty. Every fiber in the body is tense. At a single «beep» it discharges. Nothing compares to the pure, straightforward simplicity of a starting gate. Speed is our heritage and last season’s results show we’re not just talking. HEAD is officially the fastest brand on the racing circuit today. And with the 08.09 line-up we’re going to keep it that way.

THE CHIP LINE
HEAD intelligence Technology is a proven high-end-standard which very simply makes our skis ride better than others. Focusing on Intelligence CHIP Technology, it’s a whole different ball-game. If you’re affluent, your car might have a computer-controlled suspension system. For a fraction of the cost, a HEAD CHIP ski will do the same: PROACTIVELY adapt to terrain and speed.

RIDING MONSTERS
HEAD MONSTERS do what all good monsters do: They eat tons of powder and crud. And they get fatter every year. With between 76 and 102 mm waistlines, these skis go anywhere.

ALL-MOUNTAIN MONSTERS
While the 102 and the 95 Monsters feed off big, steep and deep slopes, the slimmer Monsters are a real all-mountain danger.

JON OLSSON ROCKS
Jon’s worldwide quest for dominance continues. Fast cars, fancy fads and ever-changing women on his signature skis are just part of the focus. More important is the fact that Jon Olsson continues to host his own top-level invitational event, and he gets to ride the world’s best mountains in search for the next riding revolution.

BY WOMEN FOR WOMEN
hey, aren’t we all looking for The One? Tall, short, dark, light, rough, sweet, smart, subtle, a real performer with great handling? We’ve got it: The One ski that was made by women for women. And the even better news is, we’ve got One focused on every type of rider.

ALL MOUNTAIN
Just because you want to go fast, it doesn’t mean you automatically have to love the whole racing-graphics thing. Focused on the more subtle friends of speed, here is the XRC line: well-built, fast-cut and great-looking.

XENON
2007, this ski invented a whole new category: With its revolutionary geometry and AIRCOAT technology, the HEAD XENON line completely re-defines the scope of performance of a ski. We call this focus Multi-Condition. It quite simply means this ski can do anything anywhere. With performance to spare on any ability level from beginners to 200-plus-snow-days-a-year-experts. And, it’s one of the lightest skis on the market.

JUNIORS
Focusing on kids’ needs can be diffi cult: They progress and grow so fast, they’re a moving target. Still, HEAD Junior equipment is more than pretty graphics: These skis feature state-of-the-art technology (like AIRCOAT in the Sure One and Mojo Two!). Their flex characteristics are tuned to kids’ unique power-to-weight-ratio. And they use performance shapes closely inspired by their prize-winning elders.

PHYSICS CLASS– ABSOlUTE REBOUND

While Intelligence Technology manages our skis’ performance relative to the rider’s needs, Liquidmetal is the material behind our skis’ exceptional elasticity and rebound. Liquidmetal takes advantage of the fact that a liquid molecule structure (unlike the solid structures fi bers and alloys) cannot break and cannot be compressed. Thus, Liquidmetal delivers absolute rebound and shows no breakdown over time. Max rebound. Max agility.

REGULAR METALS
Flexing solid materials, their molecular structure is compressed and can be damaged.

Immediate effect - Energy amortization. No full rebound.
Long-term effect - Breaking down of rebound over time.

REGULAR FIBERS
Flexing fibers, both the weave and the fibers’ solid molecular structure are subject to wear and tear.

Immediate effect - Energy amortization. No full rebound.
Long-term effect - Breaking down of rebound over time.

HOW LIQUID METAL WORKS
When Liquidmetal is flexed, the low ratio of compression provides instant rebound. Given its liquid molecular structure, molecules that are compressed or stretched simply reposition themselves. No breakdown of molecular structure occurs.

The LIQUID METAL EFFECT
Immediate effect - No energy amortization. Absolute rebound.
Long-term effect - No breaking down of rebound over time.

HEAD’s Theory of Relativity Ski performance is not an absolute measure. What you expect from a ski always depends on how and where you ride. On hard pack you want grip. On soft snow, you want maneuverability. Breaking the slope record, you want another kind of performance than when you’re just cruising with your friends and family.
Adaptive HEAD Intelligence Technology helps your ski perform perfectly – both relative to terrain and your individual riding mode.

HOW IT WORKS
Intellifibers positioned at 45° in front of the binding transform mechanical impulses into electrical energy. The harder you ride, the more energy is produced. The electrical energy is led back to the Intellifibers. This causes them to stiffen up, putting more rebound and torsional stiffness into the ski.

WHAT IT DOES
Their 45° position in front of the binding increases the ski’s torsional stiffness, pushing the edge into the snow in hard turns. Intelligence progressively stabilizes the entire ski at high speeds.

THE EXTRA BOOST
Some HEAD high-end skis boast HEAD Intelligence CHIP technology. Here, the electrical energy produced by the Intellifibers is not just recycled but accumulated and released bit by bit through a pre-programmed chip – individually timed to match the oscillation properties of the ski. Thus, the effect of Intelligence is multiplied, providing even more performance relative to your skiing style.

Super Light + Super Strong = Super Agile

While everybody is trying to make the core of their skis lighter, we decided to put air in the surrounding fi berglass. AIRCOAT means our fi bers are hollow, not only making our 08.09 freeride and multi condition skis super light, but extremely agile and strong at the same time. This technology, also used in the aerospace industry, is the main reason, why AIRCOAT equipped skis like Jon Olsson’s new pro model or our XENON line will most probably be again the lightest skis on the market next year.
